U.S. stock index futures rise ahead of the opening.

The futures contracts for U.S. stock indices – set to deliver in March – recorded limited gains during pre-opening trades of the U.S. stock market on Thursday, after the Federal Reserve kept interest rates steady at the end of its meeting yesterday. This bolstered market expectations that the Fed might cut interest rates by 0.50% this year, either once or twice. The performance of the U.S. stock index futures before the opening was as follows: - The Dow Jones Industrial Average futures recorded approximately 42,034.00 points, up by about 0.09%. - The Nasdaq 100 futures were trading near the level of 19,782.25 points, which is an increase of about 0.18%. - The S&P 500 futures rose about 0.16% to 5,687.50 points.
