Urgent - A stronger than expected recovery for the ISM Services Purchasing Managers Index in the US
الولايات المتحدة

The Institute for Supply Management (ISM) released on Wednesday the Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) data for the services sector for May, which matched market expectations, recording an index of about 54.5 points, reflecting the continued improvement in the services index. Expectations had anticipated that the services index would continue to grow to reach 53.7 points, which is a level close compared to the previous reading of the services PMI in April, which was 53.6 points.

The Purchasing Managers' Index for the services sector is considered one of the important economic indicators that are closely monitored, as it reflects the overall performance of the services sector in the United States, which constitutes a large part of the U.S. economy. The index includes surveys from over 600 purchasing managers and covers a wide range of economic indicators such as employment, production, new orders, prices, resource deliveries, and inventories.

It is noteworthy that this index is one of the indicators that directly affect the movement of the U.S. dollar, as a rise above expectations is a positive signal for the currency, while a decline in the index below expectations indicates economic pressures that may adversely affect financial markets and the currency.
