The Chinese Ministry of Commerce urges the United States to strengthen trade relations.

The Chinese Ministry of Commerce called on the U.S. administration, in a press release issued Thursday morning, to work on strengthening trade relations between the two countries, emphasizing that it is ready to work with the United States to promote stable and sustainable economic and trade relations.
The Chinese Ministry of Commerce confirmed that the tariff measures mentioned by the new U.S. administration under President Trump would not be beneficial for China, the United States, or even the rest of the world.
These comments from the Chinese Ministry of Commerce came in response to President Donald Trump's threat to impose tariffs of up to 10% on Chinese imports to the United States, as part of his efforts to strengthen the positions of American companies and increase the country's economic growth.
