On Wednesday morning, the American newspaper The Wall Street Journal published a report, citing some of its sources informed on the matter, stating that President-elect Donald Trump is working on preparing executive orders aimed at boosting American fossil fuel production and revenues before his inauguration next Monday.
According to The Wall Street Journal's report, Trump is expected to order agencies to begin easing the restrictions imposed by current President Joe Biden on drilling and exploration in foreign countries and federal lands.
In addition, the newspaper's report mentioned that Trump plans to use some pressure tactics to relax the emission limits set for vehicle tailpipe emissions, which Trump has described as a mandate for electric vehicles, as well as to resume passing approvals for entities that export American natural gas.
